AustLit Phase Two: Research infrastructure for humanities and education researchers (2008–2009)

Abstract:
AusLit is a unique, multi-faceted information and research resource which serves as the foundational tool for all research into Australian literary and print culture. This proposal seeks ARC support to complete a three-year infrastructure development program and establish an important new digital resource for current and future humanities researchers, educators and the general public. The 2008 proposal includes the completion of the retrospective record of Australian book history across the creative genres, establish a new facility for historical research on literature for children and further develop the highly successful database of Indigenous Australian writers and story tellers.
