Overview

Dr Ben Lancashire is specialist breast surgeon, specialist endocrine surgeon and general surgeon.

Born and raised in Brisbane, he completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland. He went on to study Medicine at the University of Queensland where he graduated with Honours.

After his resident medical officer training, he was accepted into the Australasian General Surgery specialist training program. During this time, he won the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Neville Davis Research Prize.

After completing his specialist training as a general surgeon, Dr Lancashire undertook a further two years of sub-specialty training in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery and endocrine surgery. He has also completed a Master of Advanced Breast Surgery.

Dr Lancashire has both public and private hospital visiting specialist appointments. He is a specialist breast and endocrine surgeon, however, also manages elective and emergency general surgery conditions.

Dr Lancashire is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS), a full member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), the Australasian Society for Breast Disease (ASBD), the Australian & New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (AES) and General Surgeons Australia (GSA).
