Developing and evaluating an AI-assisted health promotion campaign on social media to tackle the public health concerns of youth vaping (2024–2025)

Abstract:
With recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) in language and graphics generation, I aim to generate health promotional materials with AI assistance to address the Australian government¿s public health priority of tackling youth vaping. Co-designing with youth, we will develop social media messages to correct misconceptions and provide health knowledge to empower youth in making informed choices. This innovative approach will be tested via a trial, marking one of the first AI-assisted social media interventions on youth vaping prevention globally. This will significantly enhance my career by expanding my research to create impactful interventions.
