Securing the data (2013)

Abstract:
In 2011 the Premier of Queensland announced the establishment of the Queensland Centre for Social Science Innovation (QCSSI), a unique joint venture of the Queensland Government and five collaborating universities to undertake world-class social science research that generates knowledge of direct relevance to the evaluation of service delivery policy and practices in areas including health and education. The proposed infrastructure is an integrated facility that will provide a secure, advanced computing environment to support the research using confidential Government data residing on a dedicated server. QCSSI researchers will have access to confidential data through remote connections to this secure facility.
