Trajectories and turning points for women's reproductive health: an integrated life course approach (2013–2017)

Abstract:
Reproductive health, from menarche to menopause, is important for women's overall health. The Future Fellowship takes an integrated approach to understanding reproductive health across the life course. It advances the foundations of an international collaborative research initiative on reproductive health and chronic disease. Combining innovative analytical methods with cross-cultural knowledge, it examines data from more than 150,000 women in ten existing cohort studies from six nations. Findings from multiple cohorts are more powerful and generalisable than those from a single study. They will support a more tailored approach for women's health policy and early preventive strategies to reduce chronic disease risk.
