Postoperative Enteral Nutrition in Patients with Advanced Epithelial Ovarian Cancer (2010–2013)

Abstract:
Compared to other gynaecological cancers, patients with ovarian cancer carry a 19-fold increased risk of being malnourished. Impaired nutritional status is often associated with reduced quality of life, lower activity level, increased treatment-related adverse reactions, reduced response to treatment and reduced survival. This study will compare costs, adverse events and quality of life in women who receive additional enteral nutrition vs those who receive current standard care.
